Joseph Camara., 73, of Sharps Lot Road., Swansea passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, Ma he was the husband of forty years to Doris A. (Lagasse) Camara.

Mr. Camara was born in Fall River, MA on August 1, 1931 the son of the late Antonio and Antonia (Pavao) Camara, he was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1951, he then worked as a sales representative for Alpert Brothers wholesale in Fall River and Somerset for thirty three years before retiring in 1991, he was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors beside his wife of forty years are two daughters Lisa A. Paquette of Dighton, MA and Kimberly A. Badger of North Dighton, MA a sister Palmyra Farrington of Somerset, MA four grandchildren Garret D. Paquette, Jonas J. Paquette, Camryn N. Badger and Rory A. Badger and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Elsie Antaya

Funeral Information

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 10:30am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery Swansea. Calling hours with video photo album are Wednesday, June 1, 2005 from 4-7pm.
