Emelia Parenteau

Emelia (Godin) Parenteau, 101, formerly of Front St., died Thursday, April 28, 2005 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of late Robert Parenteau. Mrs. Parenteau was born in Saint Aime Canada P.Q. on June 7, 1903 to the late Joseph and Celina (Salvas) Godin.

Mrs Parenteau worked for Riverside and Bonte Worsted Mills as a Winder for 30 Years in Woonsocket,and Retired in 1969. She was a communicant of Precious Blood Church and a Member of Crepeau Court Manor.

She leaves a Beloved son Roland P. Parenteau of Woonsocket. 4 Sisters Marie Annette Frappier of Woonsocket,, Marie Reine Plasse of Woonsocket.Jeannette Poisson of Lincoln,and Lucienne Pierel of Cumberland.2- Grandchildren and 5- Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Phillip,Joseph,Alberic,John, Omer,and Robert Godin, Rose Pellitier, and also the late Christina Laquerre.

Funeral Information

Mrs Parenteau's funeral will be held Monday, May 2, 2005 at 9.00 AM. From the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave, Woonsocket, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery Bellingham.
