March 25, 1921 - April 11, 2005

Joseph A. Laroche, 84 of Baltimore Avenue Warren, died Monday at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center Providence. He was the husband of the late Mary ( Januario) Laroche. He was born March 25 1921 in Warren RI a son of the late Jean B & Mary ( Stride) Laroche.

Mr. Laroche was a Truck Driver for 20 years for the Sunshine Oil Company in Bristol before retiring in 1986. Prior to that he worked for Kleistone Rubber Company as a press operator. He was a US Army Veteran serving as a Private First Class during WWII.

A Lifelong Warren Resident he was a parishioner of St Jean Baptiste Church, where he was a Treasurer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for over 30 years, and was on the finance committee. He was an avid bowler with the senior citizens of Warren at the Dudek Lanes, He was also on Kleistone ‘s Bowling Team. He enjoyed Duckpin Bowling, and carpentry work.

He was the father and father-in-law of Michael Laroche , Kevin Laroche and his wife Karen (Connor) Laroche all of Warren, Cynthia Laroche, of East Providence , Claudia & Ron Nadeau of Unionville Connecticut, a brother Albert Laroche of Bristol, 2 sisters Eva Newman of Lawrenceville Georgia, Annette Letoile of Pawtucket RI, 3 grandchildren Sean Nadeau, Nicole Nadeau, Nicole Laroche, several nieces and nephews. Friend & Companion of Fran Marszalek. He was the brother of the late Jean Edward Laroche, Walter Stride, and Althea Gudlivich.

Funeral Information

Mr. Laroche's funeral will be held Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 8:00am from the Wilbur – Romano Funeral Home 615 Main St Warren , with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St Jean Baptiste Church, Main St Warren, burial with military Honors will be held in St Jean Baptiste cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 13, 2005 from 5 – 8 pm at the Wilbur – Romano Funeral Home.
