Arthur "Toot" Vasconcellos

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Arthur M. “Toot” Vasconcellos, 91, son of the late Joseph and Isabelle (Melo) George Vasconcellos,. died Saturday, April 9, 2005 in the Longmeadow of Taunton Nursing Home, following a short illness.
Mr. Vasconcellos was born and educated in Taunton. He was a retired custodian at City Hall in Taunton; formerly having been employed at the Gleenwood Range Co. and First National Store in Taunton.
During WW ll he worked at the US Navy Torpedo Facility in Newport. RI. Toot will be remembered for personally having planted and care for the Memorial at the intersection of Hart and Linden St. ( the Brickyard) Taunton, which remembered the 13 men of the “Brickyard” who died in WW ll.
He was the brother of the late Frank, John and Joseph George and Albert, Alden and Antone Vasconcellos.
Funeral Information
Mr. Vasconcellos funeral serice will be held in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 11AM. Interment St Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
