Ida (Rainone) Machado 93, of Brayton Ave, in Somerset passed away Tuesday March 29, 2005 at the Somerset Ridge Nursing Center in Somerset she was the wife of the late John A. “Greenie” Machado. Born in Fall River, MA on January 17, 1912 Mrs. Machado was the daughter of the late John and Helen (LaFrance) Rainone.

Mrs. Machado worked as a machine operator for the former Anderson Little Company in Fall River and then went on to work as a nurses aid for the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River she retired in 1977. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church in Fall River and enjoyed “Big Band” music.

Mrs. Machado is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Martin, John, Albert, and Louis Rainone.

Funeral Information

Mrs. Machado's funeral will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 9am from the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Holy Name Church 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours are Thursday, March 31, 2005 from 4-7pm.
