Yvonne Santos

May 15, 1899 - March 15, 2005

Yvonne (Pelletier) Santos, 105, passed away Tuesday March 15, 2005 at the Taber Street Nursing and Rehabilitation Home. She was the widow of Raoul Santos.

Born May 15, 1899 in Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Luc and Louise (Dallaire) Pelletier. Mrs. Santos lived most of her life in New Bedford, and was a communicant of St. Killian Catholic Church.

Mrs. Santos was a homemaker. In the 1930’s and 1940’s she enjoyed eating at the New Bedford Hotel for lunch everyday. She also enjoyed visiting Colonel Green’s Estate to visit her sister who was his cook.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Daniel Santos and his wife Barbara Anne of New Bedford; her sister-in-law, Lydia Pimentel of Port Charlotte, FL. She was the last of 12 children.

Funeral Information

Mrs Santos' funeral services were private and under the direction of the Donaghy-Hathaway Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford followed by interment in Sacred Heart #2 Cemetery, New Bedford.
