Jean Alferes

NEW BEDFORD – Jean (Frazer) Alferes, 62, of Marion, died Friday, February 23, 2007, in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, after a long illness.

Mrs. Alferes worked at Heath Trax International in Dartmouth until her illness. She lived most of her life in Fairhaven, and had resided in New Bedford before relocating to Marion a year and a half ago. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed shopping, animals, traveling to Bermuda, going to the beach, and especially soft ice cream.

Mrs. Alferes is survived by a son, Jerome Alferes and his wife Christy and their children, Marshall, Marilyn and Magnus of Fairhaven; two daughters, Julie Eadie and her husband Chris and their children, Jayme, Brad and Noah of Dartmouth, and Jane Seiders and her husband Christopher and their children, Jayson, Mark and Chelsea of Marion; she is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 1, 2007, from 5:00-8:00PM in the FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main St., FAIRHAVEN. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
