Maurice A. "Moe" Landry

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA – Maurice A. "Moe" Landry, 73, of Albro Ave., North Dartmouth, entered into rest Friday, November 28, 2009, at his home following a lengthy illness and surrounded by his family. Born in Westport, a son of the late Adrien & Eloysia (Forand) Landry, he was the husband of Laurette (St. Laurent) Landry.

Mr. Landry was a superintendent for more than twelve years at the Chase Construction Company of Portsmouth RI, before he retired twelve years ago. He had previously worked for over fifteen years as a superintendent at the Bel Air Company in Braintree. A resident of North Dartmouth since 1973, having come from Fall River, he was a parishioner at St. George’s Church, Westport.

Moe was a member of the Carpenters Local 94 of Providence, and was an avid hunter and sportsman, especially interested in saltwater angling. He was a member of the Dartmouth Senior Citizens, the Bay State Berkley Beagle Club, and a member of the New Bedford Rod and Gun Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, David J. Landry of Taunton, MA, Kevin M. Landry of Dartmouth, MA, and Marc A. Landry of Southwest PA; and two grandsons, Zachary and Shawn Landry. He was the father of the late Brian C. Landry, and sister of the late Lorraine DeRiggee.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 8:30AM from THE HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. George’s Church, 12 Highland Ave., Westport, with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
