ATTLEBORO – Hrant Sarkissian, 87, of Balena Road, Attleboro, died on Monday, June 4, 2007, in the Golden Living Center Bristol in Attleboro. Born in Jerewan, Armenia, a son of the late Yeprem and Siranoush Sarkissian, he was the husband of the late Lore (Berweiler) Sarkissian.

Mr. Sarkissian was a resident of Attleboro, having moved there in 1960 from Mansfield. He worked as an assembler for the Foxboro Company for many years before retiring in 1987. He was a devoted grandfather and avid sports fan and loved classical music. He owned and trained horses for Trotter Racing in various area New England Race Tracks.

Mr. Sarkissian leaves two daughters, Nora Sarkissian of Santa Cruz, CA, formerly of Attleboro, and Heidi and her husband William J. Cauley of Attleboro. He also leaves a sister, Hasmig Aslanian of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Nicholas and Craig Cauley; and two nieces. He was the brother of the late Emma Sarkissian.

Funeral Information

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in Celebration of his Life on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 1:00PM, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Boyle in the Candleberry Chapel, 381 South Main St., Attleboro. Friends may gather with the family of Mr. Sarkissian from Noon to 1:00 PM before the service. Burial will be private.
