FALL RIVER Frances S. (Steinberg) Phillips, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008, in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Nathan and Anna (Perlitch) Steinberg, she was the wife of the late Michael H. Phillips.

Mrs. Phillips devoted her life to raising her family. She was a graduate with the Class of 1939 of BMC Durfee High School and the Allen Business School. She was a member of Adas Israel Synagogue in Fall River and Hadassah.

Mrs. Phillips leaves a daughter, Dale Puhn of Great Neck, NY; and a son, Stuart Phillips and his wife Miriam of Fall River; two sisters, Leslie Coe of New York and Shirley David of Fall River; six grandchildren, Alyson Cohon and her husband Mark of New York, Margot Puhn of New York, Nathan Phillips of New York; Scott Kleinberger and his wife Schele of New York, Adam Kleinberger of New York, Dawn Picken and her husband Steven of New York; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Bristol, Sarah, and Ezra.

Funeral Information

A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 1:00PM in the Hebrew Cemetery in Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Observance will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00PM in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Phillips, 80 Archer St., Fall River.
