FALL RIVER – Jeannette M. (Lafleur) Pearson, 84, of Fall River, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Alfred Lafleur, Sr., and the late Laura (Cournoyer) Lafleur, she was the wife of the late Hector Pearson.

Mrs. Pearson worked in the garment industry in Fall River as a packer for many years, retiring several years ago. She was a member of the ILGWU and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a sister, Rita Appleby of Portsmouth, RI; two brothers, Rene Lafleur of Taunton, MA, and Alfred Lafleur, Jr., of Fall River; a son-in-law, Francisco R. Marquis, III, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Carol A. Marquis and the sister of the late Rhea Raposa, Dora Dufrene, Leo and Norman Lafleur.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2009, at 10:00AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Thomas St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 10, from 3:00-6:00PM in the funeral home.
