Lucille Marguerite Paquette

March 22, 1922 - January 26, 2007

PORTSMOUTH – Lucille Marguerite (Provencal) Paquette, 84, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, and Fall River, MA, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at the Village House Nursing Home in Newport, surrounded by her loving family and grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Dominique Paquette. Born March 29, 1922, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Imelda (Dassylva) Provencal.

Mrs. Paquette spent her time raising her six children and enjoyed spending time with her thirteen grandchildren. She liked cooking, knitting, music, playing the organ, and taking part in numerous creative projects, as well as spending time at the beach and hosting family gatherings. Mrs. Paquette volunteered her time at the Saint Anne’s Hospital gift shop and was a member of the Friends of Saint Anne's Club. She was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

She leaves two daughters, Diane Barrette of Norton, MA, and Donna Scott of Tiverton, RI; three sons, Ronald Paquette of Providence, RI, Robert Paquette of Tiverton, RI and Roger Paquette of Tiverton, RI; one sister, Jeannine Sirois of Sarasota, Florida; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Richard Paquette of East Freetown, MA.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Monday, January 29, 2007, at 8:30AM, from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., FALL RIVER, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Christopher’s Church, Main Road, Tiverton, RI. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00PM in the funeral home.
