Audrey L. Reynolds

TAUNTON – Audrey L. (Ballou) Reynolds, 79, died in the Life Care Center of Raynham on Friday, March 23, 2007, after a period of failing health. Born in Dighton, a daughter of the late Herbert and Edna (Chase) Ballou, she was the wife of the late Paul E. Reynolds.

She was educated in Taunton Public Schools and was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church. Her greatest pleasure was serving as a crossing guard at the Taunton Catholic Middle School, for more than twenty-four years, where she made numerous friends with the students and their parents. Previously she had been employed as a police matron and was at one time an employee of Princess House.

She was the mother of Deborah Perry and her husband Gregory of Taunton, Linda Magnussen and her husband Mark of Taunton, Paul E. Reynolds, Jr., of Plymouth and Peter Reynolds of Taunton. She was very devoted to her grandchildren, Gregory Perry, Jr., Gretchen Perry, Paul Reynolds, III, Nicholas Reynolds, Jessica Magnussen, Ashley Magnussen and Audrey J. Reynolds. She was the great-grandmother of Nathan Harris; and the sister of Harold Ballou of Florida, Phyllis Hall of Georgia, Joan Horton of Berkley, and the late Natalie Lukasewski and Donald Ballou. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, from the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10:00AM . Interment will follow in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
