Marilyn (Allen) Walker, 78, of 12 Chatham Lane, died Sunday December 31, 2006 at home, she was the former wife of James R. Walker Sr., Born January 1, 1928 in New Bedford, MA; she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Thabele) Allen.

Miss Walker had worked as a telephone operator for New England telephone during the early 1950's and 1960's. She was a member of the Mashpee Garden Club and the Mashpee Meal's on Wheels Program.

She is survived by three sons, James R. Walker Jr., of Mashpee, MA; Stephen Walker of Fairhaven, MA; Allen Walker of Milton, Vermont, three daughters, Melissa DeAngelis of Peabody, MA; Kathleen Durfee of Dennis, MA; Susan Bonneau of Bainbridge Island, Washington State., Twelve Grandchildren, Alexis and Nathaniel Walker of Fairhaven, MA; Crystal Walker of Milton, Vermont, Michelle and Jennifer DeAngelis of Peabody, MA; Arthur, Dana, Philip, Kathy and April Durfee of Dennis, MA; Matthew and Katie Bonneau of Bainbridge Island, Washington State., and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Walker was the mother of the late, Robert Walker.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 9:00 am from the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven, MA; to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph's Church, Spring and Adams Street, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 274 Main Street, Fairhaven, MA; calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm in the funeral home.
