NEW BEDFORD – Alice J. (Thomas) O'Brien, 67, of Brock Avenue, died on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert & Bertha H. (Shoesmith) Thomas, she was the wife of the late John O’Brien.

Mrs. O’Brien was employed as a manager at a self-service gas station for many years.

She is survived by a son, Donald T. Manley of New Bedford; two daughters, Allison Manley and Cheryl Manley, both of New Bedford; a brother, Griffin Thomas of Riverside, RI; a sister, Shirley Ainsworth of Springfield, MA; and seven grandchildren.
