View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON / FALMOUTH – Stanley E. Ives, 96, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, in the Royal Nursing Home, Falmouth, following a short illness. A resident of Falmouth for the past two years, he was a Taunton resident most of his life. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Charles and Minnie (Farrow) Ives, he was educated in the Taunton Public Schools.
For over thirty years, Mr. Ives was employed by the former Hodgman Manufacturing Company in Taunton as a machinist, retiring as a foreman. He formerly worked at the Bay State Tap and Die in Mansfield.
He was member of the Union Congregational Church in Taunton. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was member of the King David Masonic Lodge in Taunton.
Mr. Ives was the husband of the late Mary (Reid) Ives, and after her death, he went to live with his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Karen Ives in East Falmouth. He was also the father of the late Nancy (Ives) Marvin of NY. He was the grandfather of Timothy Ives of Falmouth, Kristina McGary of Berkley, Michael Jondrew of Ovid, NY, and Steve Jondrew of Hampton Bay, NY; and the great-grandfather of seven and the uncle of William Reid of Taunton.
Donations Information
A funeral service will be held in the Union Congregational Church, West Britannia St., Taunton, on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow the funeral in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5:00-8:00PM in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton.
