View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Teresa L. Staton, 51, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at her home following a period of failing health. Born in Huntington, WV, the daughter of Shirley (Ratliff) Staton, now of Taunton, and the late James Staton, she was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a 1977 graduate of Taunton High School and of Bristol Community College.
Teresa was employed as an information technology specialist by Shaw’s Supermarket corporate office in West Bridgewater for the past eight years and prior to that was employed as an I. T. specialist for Hills Department Stores in Canton.
She enjoyed traveling and the caring of others.
Besides her mother, she is survived by a sister, Kimberly Poirier of East Wareham; and two brothers, Keith “Doug” Staton and his wife Michelle of Taunton and Stanley Staton and his wife Nancy of East Taunton and the late Kenneth Staton. She was the aunt of Christel Poirier of Taunton, John Poirier of East Wareham, Raymond Greene of East Wareham, Amanda and Christopher Staton of Taunton, Aaron and Jason Staton of East Taunton; and the great aunt of two great nieces and one great nephew.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Monday, February 8, 2010, at 11:00AM with burial to follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, February 7, from 1:00-4:00PM.
