Douglas W. Thompson

NORTH DIGHTON – Douglas W. Thompson, 26, died suddenly in Taunton on Friday, August 31, 2007, after an automobile accident. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Paula Jones of North Attleboro and the late Raymond Thompson. He was the fiancé of Michelle Ann Saber of North Dighton and the father of Damon Douglas Thompson of North Dighton and the step-son of the late Gary Jones.

Mr. Thompson was a graduate of the Dighton-Rehoboth High School with the Class of 1999 and was employed as an electrician for Florence Electrical in Taunton. He enjoyed playing softball, skate boarding, playing the drums and was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was an All-Star Little League baseball player for four years in Dighton.

He is also survived by his grandparents, William and Lois Copeland and Raymond and Jane Thompson, all of North Dighton; and he was also the grandson of the late Joanne Thompson. In addition, he is also survived by the father of his fiancé, Peter Constantine of North Attleboro, and the family of his fiancé, Michelle, Anthony, Jason and Kristie Rabbitt, all of Rehoboth; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), in Taunton on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
