View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TIVERTON, RI – Pauline C. (Vachon) Cook, 89, of Tiverton, RI, formerly of Fall River, MA, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the Kimwell Nursing Center in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Victorine (Brodeur) Vachon, she was the wife of the late Earl R. Cook.
Mrs. Cook was employed as a setter in the garment industry in Fall River for the former Peerless, Gold Seal and Needlecraft manufacturers. A communicant of Holy Name Church in Fall River, she was also a member of the ILGWU. Mrs. Cook enjoyed traveling, reading, taking trips to Foxwoods, and spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves a son, Dwight E. Cook of Tiverton, RI; two grandchildren, Geoffrey Cook of Fall River and Matthew Cook of Amherst, MA. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Mockas and Henry Vachon.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010, at 8:00 am from THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River, with burial to follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 2, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the funeral home.
