View Tribute and Sign Guestbook BERKLEY – Helen S. Dawe, 86, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in the Southpointe Rehab Center, Fall River, with family members at her side. Born in Boston, she was the wife of the late Rev. Rene J. Dawe.
Raised and educated in Everett, throughout her working years, Helen was employed as a secretary in several settings. She supported her family while her husband completed his studies at the Bangor Theological Seminary. She assisted her husband as he served congregations in Dexter, Maine, and Swansea, MA. Helen retired as a secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in Stoughton, MA, where she had worked for many years.
Mrs. Dawe is survived by her son, Roger and his wife Beth, now of Berkley, and enjoyed her grandchildren, Christopher and Carah, with whom she resided for many years in North Dighton when they lived there. She is survived by two other sons, Ronald Dawe of Florida and Russell Dawe of the state of Washington. She was the grandmother of Christopher Dawe of Washington, DC, Carah Cahill of Bangor, ME, and Alexis Dawe of the state of Washington; and the great-grandmother of Patrick Cahill of Bangor, ME.
Funeral Information
Helen will be buried in the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree with her late husband. A private celebration of Helen’s life will be held at a later date and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
