View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Lorraine B. (Wordell) Macomber, 79, of Fairhaven died Saturday, August 19, 2006 unexpectedly in St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford. She was the wife of Everett J. Macomber.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late John A. and the late Mary (Pabis) Wordell she grew up in the town and attended Acushnet schools. She would later settle in Fairhaven where she lived most of her life and attended the First Congregation Church of Fairhaven.
She loved to crochet and most of all spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sandra L. Soares and her companion Raymond Hebert of Fairhaven and Jane J, Salvail and her husband Paul; a sister Judith Wordell of Fairhaven; two granddaughters, Jennifer Salvail and Carrie Cunha; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Macomber was the mother of the late Russell and Charles Macomber and sister of the late John and Charles Wordell.

Her arrangements are private under the direction of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
