View Tribute and Sign Guestbook WAREHAM – Mildred (Kershaw) Hellyer, 91, of Marion, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Tobey Hospital in Wareham, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George T. Hellyer. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Harold and the late Florence (Howarth) Kershaw, she graduated from Fairhaven High School and settled in Marion in 1954.
Mrs. Hellyer and her husband were the proprietors of Converse Photographic Supply for thirty years. She was dedicated to the business and was an avid reader in her leisure time.
She is survived by a son, George Bradley Hellyer and his wife Cynthia of Vergennes, VT; two daughters, Eunice Jones of Hahira, GA, and Jann Macomber and her husband Everett of East Freetown, MA; a brother, Gordon Kershaw of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Chance Jones, Derek Bradley Hellyer, Treena McGrath, Thomas Hellyer and Erin Bomes; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hellyer was the grandmother of the late Kyle Dalton Jones.
