View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Phyllis F. (Pimental) Scanlon, 68 years old, died on Thursday August 31, 2006 in Morton Hospital, Taunton, Born in Taunton, a daughter of Pauline (Creati) Pimental of Taunton and the late Anthony Pimental.
She was educated in Taunton grammar schools and was a 1956 graduate of Taunton High School and a 1960 graduate of Bridgewater State College. She was teacher at the L G Nourse School in Norton. A communicant of St Joseph's Church she was very proud of the fact that for 37 years she was the first grade CCD teacher at St Joseph's Church in Taunton. She and her husband Lawrence “ Larry” Scanlon were very active Square Dancers belonging to the Silver City Twillers of Taunton and the Cupid Squares of Bridgewater. She also evjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, little theater productions and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband and mother both of Taunton she is the mother of Susan DeLeo and her husband Paul of Raynham and Shane Martin and her husband Carl of Taunton. She is the grandmother of Sara, Mallory and Nathan DeLeo, Desiree Lynn Scanlon and Jesse Scanlon-Duchaine and sister of David Pimental and his wife Nancy of Norton
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Joseph's Church, Taunton on Wednesday at 10AM. Interment St James Cemetery, East Taunton.
