View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TEXAS/ RAYNHAM – Lawrence E. Barr, 90, formerly of Raynham, died in Lewisville, TX, on January 14, 2008. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Edgar and Inez ( George) Barr, he had been resident of Raynham before moving to Texas in 2002. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Barr was the Electrical Facilities Engineer at Rhode Island Hospital in Providen*ce. He was a member of the American Institute of Engineers and the Hospital Association of Rhode Island. He was a past Master of the Ionic Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was the husband of the late Ingeborg Barr and the father of Roger Barr of Milton, VT, Jean Andrade of Prescott Valley, AZ, Janice McNutly of Cornith,TX, Jane Butler of Berkley, and the late Joan Padley. He was the grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of four.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Memorial United Methodist Church, Somerset Avenue, in Taunton Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 10AM.
