View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Mary H. ( Dolan) Canedy, 89, of Glendale Street Fall River died Friday, September 8, 2006 at home. She was the wife of the late Albert W. Canedy. She was born in Fall River on December 13, 1916, a daughter of the late John T. & Anna ( Frederickson ) Dolan.
Mary had been the Co- Owner of the Canedy Opticians where she worked daily from 1932 - until 2002 when she retired and continued to work part time from home. She was a lifelong Fall River resident , a member of the former North Christian Congregational Church. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 117, she enjoyed playing Bingo, went to many craft shows with her daughter, and also liked Horseback riding in her youth.
She is survived by a son Clayton Canedy of Fall River, a daughter Phyllis Canedy of Fall River, she was the aunt of Thomas J Dolan of Wichita Kansas, grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 2, great great grandmother of 1. She was the mother of the late Albert W Canedy Jr, Sherrill A Canedy. She was the sister of the late Jon T Dolan.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 - 8 pm.
