Germaine M. Vandal

August 24, 1906 - April 11, 2006

Germaine M ( Detonnancourt) Vandal, 99 formerly of Church Street Manville, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Hospice St.Antoine Residence North Smithfield.
She was the wife of the late Eugene Vandal. She was born in Lamaska Province of Quebec Canada, a daughter of the late Hector & Regina ( Leveillee) Detonnancourt.

She was an assembler for the Swank manufacturing Company for many years before she retired., she also worked for the American Tourister company. She has lived in Manville and Albion most of her life. She was a parishioner of St James Church, she was a member of the Manville Golden Agers.

She is surived by a daughter in law Ruth Vandal of Attleboro, a nephew Willie Detonnancourt of North Smithfield, 3 grandchildren Rachel SanAntonio, Robert Vandal, Richard Vandal, and 3 great grandchildren James Vandal, George SanAntonio, Marissa SanAntonio. She was the mother of the late Roger Vandal, and sister of the late Willie Detonnancourt.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2006 at 10:00am in THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 71 Central St., Manville, RI, burial will follow in St James Cemetery Manville. Calling hours are Friday from 9:00am - 10:00am.
