Claire L. Bell

February 03, 1925 - January 28, 2006

Claire L. (LaQuerre) Bell age  80  formerly of Logee St. Woonsocket died Saturday January  28, 2006 in the Mount St. Francis Health Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late  Gilbert J. Bell. She was  born in  Woonsocket on February 3, 1925 a daughter of the late Evangeliste and  Anna  (Marcotte) LaQuerre.

She was  a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Woonsocket. Mrs. Bell had been a Stitcher for the former Narragansett Knitting Company of Woonsocket for 42 years before retiring in 1990.   

She leaves  three sons  Donald G. Bell of Pawtucket, Roland H. Bell  and Clifford D. Bell both of Woonsocket. Two daughters  Diane R. Mimande  of Putnam,CT and Jacqueline L. Martin of Greenville, RI. Three  sisters Cecelia Rene of Blue Hill, ME,  Clemence Lavallee of  North  Smithfield and  Helene LaCroix  of  Wakefield. Thirteen  Grandchildren and seven Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was  the  mother of the late  Shirley  F.  Moritz and the sister of the late  Edgar and Lionel LaQuerre, Jeannette  Forcier,  Ann Rita  Bergeron,  Dorilda Champagne and Yvette  Blanchette.

Funeral Information

Her Funeral  will be held on Monday, February 6, 2006  at  9 AM  from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME,  127 Carrington  Avenue Woonsocket   followed by a Mass of  Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of  Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Calling hours are Sunday February 5, 2006, from 5-8pm.
