FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Lauren Elizabeth Paul, 52, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she had made her home for the past five years, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of Agnes “Robin” (Robinson) Connor of Fall River, MA, and the late Joseph F. Paul.

A graduate of BMC Durfee High School in Fall River and the Bristol Community College, she was the director of the Mulberry Child Care Center in Fall River, until she was forced to retire due to illness.

Besides her mother, she leaves two loving children, Iwalani Armitage-Viriamu and Ryan-Thomas Kaiu Keawe Paul of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was also the sister of Scott P. Paul F.R.P.D. (ret.) and his wife Lori, Pamela Bernard Livingstone and her husband Fred of Bradenton, FL, Douglas Bernard and his wife Dale of Bristol, RI, and Cindy Bernard Pinardi (Russell) of Fall River. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and her special friend and former husband, Richard Carreiro.

Lauren was the recipient of a liver and kidney transplant on Dec. 21, 2006. She was a fighter until the end. Lauren, you will be greatly missed by all whose lives you touched. Our family wishes to express our gratitude to the transplant team and doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL.

Funeral Information

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008, from 1:00-5:00PM in THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, with a Memorial Service conducted by the Rev. Sue Moenius from 3:00-3:30PM.
