Geraldine (Goodrum) Jordan

FALL RIVER – Geraldine (Goodrum) Jordan, 80, of Fall River, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at the Southpointe Nursing Care Facility in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Tripp) Goodrum, she was the wife of the late Frank J. Jordan, Jr.

Mrs. Jordan worked as a nurse’s aide at the Crestwood Nursing Home in Fall River for fifteen years before retiring in 1980. A member of the First Baptist Church in Fall River, she was also a member of The Little Theatre in Fall River. She and her twin sister Alice sang with Bob Hope at Madison Square Garden in the 1940’s, and she had the lead role for The Little Theatre’s Junior Miss production years ago. In addition, she enjoyed knitting crocheting, and going to the beach.

Mrs. Jordan leaves three daughters, Joy Frain of Westport, MA, Ann Davis of Fall River, and Alice Velozo of Somerset, MA; three sons, Frank J. Jordan, III, of Avon, CT, James Jordan of Fall River, MA, and John Jordan, also of Fall River, MA; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the identical twin sister of the late Alice Paquette.

Funeral Information

CALLING HOURS will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008, from 4:00-7:00PM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Services and Burial will be private at the request of the family.
