George Milton Sadler Jr., 79, of 524 Locust Street, Swansea, MA; died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of Gertrude (Cabral) Sadler. Born April 18, 1927 in Swansea, MA; he was the son of the late George M. and Jennie M. (Clement) Sadler Sr. Mr. Sadler was well known throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and RI., as a Clambake Master. For most of his life he owned and operated G&G Sadler Clambakes. He had also worked as a carpenter for Algeria Construction in Bristol, RI for thirty years. He enjoyed farming and participated in pony pulling and tractor pulling at various fairs across New England. He especially loved attending the Freyburg fair in Maine every year. He was a honorary member of the South Seekonk Gun Club. Besides his wife of forty-one years he leaves two sons, George Milton Sadler III and his wife Deborah of Rehoboth, MA and William Sadler of North Providence, RI; one daughter, Madelyn Conlon and her husband Albert of Brockton, Ma; one sister, Esther J. Carr of Berkeley, MA; 5 grandchildren, Jessalyn R. Sadler, Alayne D. Sadler of Rehoboth, MA; Michelle Cabral of South Dartmouth, Ma; Jesse Furtado of Holden, MA; Jason Furtado of Raynham, MA; 2 great grand children, Jessica Cabral and Zachary Cabral of South Dartmouth, MA; Mr. Sadler was the brother of the late, Clifford H. Sadler, Charles J. Sadler, Grace C. Costa, and Ruth M. Simpson. Funeral InformationHis Funeral will be held Monday, August 14, 2006 at 10:00 am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA., Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea, MA Calling Hours will be held Sunday, August 13, 2006 from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Funeral Home and Monday morning from 9:00-10:00 am.
