View Tribute and Sign Guestbook EAST TAUNTON – Marguerite C. “Maggie” Whittemore, 56, of Caswell St., East Taunton, died suddenly in the Emergency Room of Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital, Brockton, on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. A resident of the Kindred Northeast Specialty Hospital in Stoughton at the time, she was the daughter of Robert Stanley of East Taunton and the late Christine (Restino) Stanley.
Ms. Whittemore was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a former owner of race horses. She traveled throughout New England and Florida, racing her horses until she became disabled by an auto accident in Tampa, FL, in 1983. She spent more than four months in the Tampa General Hospital as a result of the accident. She maintained a residence with her father in East Taunton since that time.
Besides her father she is survived by a sister, Patricia Bury of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stephen Stanley.
