TAUNTON – Josephine K. (Sienko) Cardoza, 90, died in the Marian Manor in Taunton, Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Tekla (Gwozdz) Sienko, she was the widow of Herbert “Hebe”Cardoza.

Educated in the Taunton Public Schools, she was former communicant of Holy Rosary Church. For over twenty years Josephine was employed as a printer for Ad A Day Company in Taunton. She was a avid Duck Pin Bowler and also enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her son, Lt. Charles Cardoza, TPD, and his wife Karen of East Taunton. She was the grandmother of Danielle Cardoza, Adam Cardoza and Steven Cardoza, all of Taunton, and the great-grandmother of Alexandria, Sarah and Rebecca Rossi, also of Taunton. She was the sister of the late Annie, Stacia, Benjamin, Joseph, and John Sienko and Balbina Gouveia, and the aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in the Marian Manor, 33 Summer Street, Taunton, Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 10:45AM. Visiting hours will be in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Friday, July 17, from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
