View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TIVERTON – Doris (Leach) Almeida, 84, of Tiverton, RI, and Stewart, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at the Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren, RI. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Walsh W. and Harriet (Moss) Leach, she was the wife of the late Anibel M. Almeida.
Mrs. Almeida graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy and from LaSalle Junior College. She was employed as the treasurer for W.W. Leach & Company before retiring many years ago. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Tiverton and the Tiverton Garden Club.
Mrs. Almeida leaves a daughter, Lisa A. Viveiros and her husband Robert of Swansea; a daughter-in-law, Alison Almeida of Little Compton, RI; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Rev. Dr. Lance B. Almeida.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007, at 10:00AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1956 Main Rd., Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend by going directly to the church. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00-6:00PM in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA.
