Joseph A. Darling

February 28, 1934 - October 16, 2006

Joseph A. Darling Sr., age 72, of Morin Heights Blvd. in Woonsocket died Monday, October 16, 2006 in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, RI. He was the former husband of Claire M. (Michaud) Darling of Burrillville, RI. He was born in Woonsocket on Februray 28, 1934 a son of the late Luke F. and Rose (Bourget) Darling.

He was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and had been a painter with the late Peter Champagne and later was a Machine Operator for the Imperial Folding Box Company of Woonsocket for ten years before retiring in 1992.

He leaves five sons Joseph A. Darling,Jr., Robert F. Darling, Mark H. Darling, Rick D. Darling and Steven Phaneuf all of Woonsocket. Two daughters Donna M. Darling and Rose M. Gauvin both of Woonsocket. One brother Robert Darling of Pascoag, RI and one sister Jean Mousseau of Orange county, CA. Thirty two grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John L. Darling and the grandfather of the late Matthew Collard.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday, October 20th at 2:PM in St. James Cemetery in Manville. Arrangements by THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. RI.
