View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SOMERSET, MA – Claudette E. (Caron) Dagwan, 74, of Somerset, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at her residence. Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Leo and Adela (Bouchard) Caron, she was the wife of Joseph Dagwan, to whom she was married forty-seven years.
A graduate with the Class of 1953 of Somerset High School, Mrs. Dagwan worked as the head checker and cashier for Stop Shop in Somerset, where she received a performance award in 1959. Claudette also worked as a cashier at the A&P and Globe Liquors. She was also an independent sales representative for various companies that produced clothing and other items.
Claudette also worked as a nurses aid at the Country Gardens Nursing Facility in Swansea. She then was a waitress at Pizza Hut and the Hoy Tin Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Dagwan was also an avid bingo player and enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dagwan leaves a daughter, Irene A. Nepini; three sons, Joseph P. Dagwan and his wife Robin; Mark S. D’Aguanno and his wife Carla; and Scott L. Dagwan and his wife Connie; three sisters, Therese Saucier, Jeanne Thompson, both of Somerset, and Simone Caron of Westborough, MA; eight grandchildren which she loved and adored: Amanda, Jenna, Joey, Marky, Brittany, Alexandria, Bria, and Scotty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Jeanine Caron and Leo O. Caron.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Louis de France Church, 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours with Video Photo Album will be held Monday, May 4, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
