Helen E. (Stone) Kent

TAUNTON – Helen E. (Stone) Kent, 84, died Monday, August 17, 2009, at her home. Born in Patterson, NJ, the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Stone, she was the wife of Maurice J. Kent.

She was educated in St. Mary’s grammar and High School in Taunton and at Bryant College. She was a cosmetologist, who worked in her family business, the Stone Beauty Shoppe on Trescott Street in Taunton for over thirty years and later at Wedgemere Nursing Home. She loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed being good both to her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church [formerly St. Johseph’s] in North Dighton.

She wa the mother of Elizabeth “Beth” Johnson of Lisbon, NH, and the late Stephen J. Kent, who died in November 2008. She was the grandmother of Amy and Kelly Johnson of Lisbon, NH, and Christopher and Craig Kent of Dighton. She is also survived by fiancé of her late son, Joyce Beltrami of Seekonk.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Nicholas of Myra Church Friday, August 21, 2009, at 10:00AM.
