View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Jose E. DeMedeiros., 63, of Dean Street in New Bedford passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the New Bedford Healthcare Center. He was the former husband of Mariana Medeiros. Born in the Azores on February 28, 1943 the son of the late Joao and Maria A. (Pacheco) DeMedeiros. He worked as a baker for various bakeries in Fall River and New Bedford. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors are a son Joseph P. DeMedeiros, a daughter Cassandra P. DeMedeiros, two sisters Margarita Medeiros, and Fatima Duarte, a brother Joao Medeiros, a sister in Law Maria A. Medeiros all of New Bedford, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 9am from the Donaghy-Hathaway Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford, MA followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church 136 Earle St., New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours are Thursday, June 22, 2006 from 5-7pm.
