View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Anna (Bartlett) Reynolds, 79, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly at home Monday, March 9, 2009. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Sarah (Vargas) Bartlett, she grew up in Fairhaven before moving to New Bedford in 1954. She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and Kenyon Campbell Business School and later worked as a bookkeeper many years at the National Bank of Fairhaven.
She enjoyed camping, gardening and doing various arts and crafts and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah A. Sawyer and her husband Greg of Mattapoisett, and Nancy J. Scott of Fairhaven; a sister, Mary Ann Kovalchik of Roseville, CA; three grandchildren, Jason Marshall of New Bedford and Carrie and Steven Scott, both of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Reynolds was the sister of the late Arthur Bartlett, Jr. and Angie Lang.
Funeral Information
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Friday, March 13, 2009, at 10:00AM in the First Congregational Church in Fairhaven. Interment will be private.
