Jean L. (Kirk) Duby, 79, of Attleboro, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, surrounded by her family at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Edwin W. Duby.
Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late John and Leah (Pushie) Kirk, she lived most of her life in Mansfield and her later years in Attleboro where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Duby had worked as a greeter at Walmart, in North Attleboro, until her retirement in 2000. She had previously been employed for 10 years at Toys R Us, in Northboro, and at the Country Haven Nursing Home, in Norton, as a Nurse’s Aide. She enjoyed the beach, spending time with her family and friend's, listening to music, taking long walks, and helping people by volunteering.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Rose of Taunton and Donna Green and her husband Kerry of Plainville; a son, Roy Duby of North Attleboro; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Sean, Brett, Kaylee, Amber and Corin; four brothers, William, Charles, Downey and Ralph Kirk; four sisters, Ellen Bengston, Ann Bevington, Maud Robichaud and Freda Smith and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Duby was the sister of the late Huntley Kirk.
In accordance with her wishes she was cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date for family and friend's.
Arrangements are by the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts.
