Neil Mosman

Neil Mosman, 81, of Raynham, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of fifty-nine years to Bettie (Lockie) Mosman.

Neil was born in Worcester, the son of the late Russell F. and Marthena (Merrill) Mosman. He was a graduate of South High School, in Worcester, class of 1953 and then from UMASS Amherst with a Bachelors degree. Neil then served his country with the United States Army. In 1958,  he began his career in education as a 6th grade teacher for the Holden Public School Department and  as an assistant principal for the Westborough Public School Department. Mr. Mosman then became a principal for the Easton Public School Department for twenty-six years retiring in 1990.  Neil then worked part time at the Pine Oaks Golf Course as a starter for the past twenty-five years. He was an avid reader, bowler and swimmer, who also enjoyed playing and teaching chess and making puzzles.

Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Katie L. Wirth and her husband Greg of Wareham; two sons: Keith A. Mosman and his wife Dawn of Raynham; and Scott N. Mosman and his companion Donna J. Bradshaw of Taunton; six grandchildren: Gina, Dayna, Timmy, Jessica, Keeper, and Justin Brady, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; Kenneth Mosman of Nebraska; Wayne Mosman of Waterbury, CT; and Elwyn Mosman of Douglas, MA; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Tony Holmes and brother of the late Russell Mosman.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service for Mr. Mosman will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11am, in the First Congregational Church of Raynham, 785 South Main Street, Raynham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private at the request of the family.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the care the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
