View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TIVERTON, RI – Arthur Capeto, 78, of Tiverton, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at his residence. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Herman and Isabel (Silvia) Capeto, he was the loving husband of Ruth (Pacheco) Capeto, to whom he was married fifty-seven years.
Mr. Capeto worked as a manager for the A&P Stores for thirty-two years, retiring in 1976. Before retiring, Arthur owned the Cloverdale Farm Stores in the Fall River area for many years. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Fall River and a member of the Retail Clerks Club. Mr. Capeto enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Capeto leaves his close friends and care-givers, John and Judy Raposa and Alfred and Lee Gonsalves, all of Tiverton, RI; and several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008, at 9:00AM from THE HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Holy Rosary Church, 120 Beattie St., Fall River. Burial with MILITRAY HONORS will follow the funeral rite in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
