Eileen T. (Battles) McPherson, 86, of Raynham, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry McPherson.

Eileen was born in Avon, the daughter of the late Lena (Battles) Merrill. She worked as an LPN at the Old Ladies Home, in Taunton, and the Daggett Crandall Nursing Home, in Norton, for many years, retiring in 1993. Mrs. McPherson was also active with the Raynham and Brockton Senior Citizens groups. Eileen cherished the time she spent with her family and enjoyed quilt making. These quilts were lovingly made for all her family members and also donated to many local organizations.

Survivors are two daughters: Diane Morse of Sebring, FL; Janet L. Terra and her husband Alfred of Taunton; a son: Harry K. McPherson of Raynham; four grandchildren: Jeffrey K. Terra and his wife Jeannine of Taunton; Amanda  M. Parlato and her husband Daniel  of Taunton; Michael P. Morse of Sebring, FL; Monica Stone and her husband Jeremiah of Sebring, FL; six great grandchildren: Augustina, Jeremiah Jr., Samuel, Sofia, Daniel and Katelyn; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William Battles and Evelyn Hinckley.

Funeral Information

Calling Hours for Mrs. McPherson will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 4-7pm, in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 11am, in the First Congregational Church (Stone Church), 785 South Main Street, Raynham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in the Pleasant Street Cemetery, in Raynham.

Donations Information

Memorial donations in her memory can be made to either the First Congregational Church (Stone Church) or the Raynham Firefighters Fund.
