Lester E. Langton age 96 of Maple Terrace died Saturday in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Leah M. (Bouchard) Langton. He was born in Attleboro a son of the late Alexander and Minnie (Burton) Langton. He had lived in Attleboro Falls for 18 years and Attleboro for most of his life. He was a member of the Larsen Senior Center in Attleboro where he enjoyed playing Cribbage. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. He had been an Engine Turner for the R.F. Simmons Co. of Attleboro for 38 years before he retired in 1976. Lester had served in the US Army with General George Patton during WW II in Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland and Central Europe earning the European African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He leaves two daughters Judith A. and her husband William E. Henriques of Attleboro and Gloria J. and her husband Dean Fawcett of Lakeville, MA.
