Cecile (Napert) Gauthier, 86, of Fitzgerald Road, in Somerset passed away Friday, October 14, 2005 at Somerset Ridge Nursing Care Center in Somerset. She was the wife of sixty one years to Armand A. Gauthier. Born in Fall River, MA on May 7, 1919 the daughter of the late Francois and Alice (Bailargeon) Napert.

Mrs. Gauthier worked in Civil defense communications during WWII, she then went on to work as a sewing machine operator for many years at the former I. Schneierson Company in Fall River she retired in 1976. Mrs. Gauhtier was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea, member of UNITE, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, and playing bingo.

Survivors beside her husband are a son Armand L. Gauthier of Somerset, MA two sisters Lorraine Gonsalves of Menifee, California Jacqueline Bigelow of Leesburg, Florida a brother Marcel Napert of Portsmouth, RI and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theresa Sarmento, Berthe Napert, Francois, Roland, William, and Paul Napert.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 9:15am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Louis de France Church 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 18, 2005 from 8am to 9:15am.
