Normand L. Allard

WOONSOCKET – Normand L. Allard, 86, of Village Way, North Smithfield, RI, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007, in the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Oliver and Gertrude (Coutu) Allard, he was the husband of the late Anita B. (Dubois) Allard.

Mr. Allard lived in Woonsocket most of his life and was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Woonsocket. He served with the U. S. Army during WW II. He was employed as an electronic technician with the Amperex Electronics Company of North Smithfield for ten years before retiring. He was an avid baseball and hockey fan.

Mr. Allard leaves two sons, Raymond N. and his wife Lorraine M. Allard of Portsmouth, RI, and Normand O. and his wife Carol A. Allard of DeBary, FL; one daughter, Carol A. and her husband Bertrand J-M. Hogue of North Smithfield, RI; two brothers, Richard Allard of Uxbridge, MA, and the Rev. George Allard of Cumberland, RI; and one sister, Gertrude Pignolet of Woonsocket. He also leaves six grandchildren, Nancy, Tina, David, Kenneth, Lisa and Joseph; and ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irene Gervais.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 9:00AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
