View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Chester Tarabolski, 86, of Sprague St., Fall River, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Facility in Fall River. Born in Throop, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Alexander and Michaelina (Rybka) Tarabolski, he was the husband of Mary (Ferreira) Tarabolski, with whom he shared sixty-three years of marriage.
Mr. Tarabolski served his county during WWII with the Untied States Navy. He then worked as a chef for White’s of Westport and the Eileen Darling Restaurants for many years. Mr. Tarabolski was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus’ Church in Fall River, a former member of its Men’s Club, and served on the Festival Committee. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and was an animal enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Tarabolski leaves three daughters, Mary Ann Ainley and her husband Joseph of Fall River, Rebecca Ivanson and her husband Gary of Tiverton, and Janice Romagnolo and her husband Raymond of Assonet. He was also survived by his grandchildren, Benjamin, Neal, Whitney and Brent; and a great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by five brothers and a sister.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 8:00AM from THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in Saint Stanislaus’ Church, 36 Rockland St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow the funeral liturgy with Military Honours in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 12, from 5:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
