Robert A. Lesniak

SOMERSET, MA – Robert A. Lesniak, 69, of Somerset, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at his residence. Born in Holyoke, MA, the son of the late Walter and Lillian (Crozier) Lesniak, he was the husband of thirty–nine years to Katherine (Dziedzic) Lesniak.

Mr. Lesniak was a graduate of Holyoke High School and served his country during the Viet Nam War with the United States Navy, ending his career with Navy after twenty years. Robert then worked in the maintenance department for the former Englehard Industry for ten years. While working for Englehard, Robert earned his associate’s degree in accounting from Bristol Community College.

He had worked for fifteen-years as a merchant marine and was currently working as a delivery man for American Auto Auction in Taunton. Mr. Lesniak enjoyed working on his home, traveling, going to auctions, and the time he shared with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lesniak leaves a daughter, Jennifer Lesniak of Somerset, MA; two sons, Keith C. Lesniak and his wife Lori of Rehoboth, MA, and Brian Lesniak of Fall River, MA; a sister, Maxine Lesniak of Chevy Chase, MD; and a loving grandson, Ryan O. Lesniak.

Funeral Information

His funeral service will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 8:00am from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Saint Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset., with burial with full military honours in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
