View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Dorothea A. (Peacock) Sampson was born in Somerville, MA on January 9, 1934, the daughter of Evelyn and Walter Hanson. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1932 and was married in 1934 to Frederick W. Peacock who passed away in 1971. Her second husband Everett Sampson passed away in 1988.
She spent all of her adult life in the Swansea and Somerset area, enjoying activer participation in Christ Church committees, the Somerset Senior Citizens Club, her many valued friends, and extensive travel.
Mrs. Sampson is survived by her daughter, Dorothea Brown of Galena, Illinois, two granddaughters, Cynthia and Betsy and two great granddaughters Sarah and Sydney and a son, Robert W. Peacock of Agawam, MA. Two brothers, Richard and Robert and two sisters Deedie and Margie survive her. She also leaves her beloved friend Nancy Paquin and the caring staff at Clifton Nursing Home.
Funeral Information
Funeral arrangements, through Hathaway Funeral Home (Somerset), will be private at the request of her family as will be burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery (Tiverton).

In lies of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the fund established in her name at Christ Church, Main Street, Swansea.
