View Tribute and Sign Guestbook ATTLEBORO–Gertrude M. (Pepin) Lamoureux, 83, of Mechanic Street in Attleboro, died at home on Monday, November 19, 2007. Born in Riverside, RI, a daughter of the late Francis E. & Gertrude A. (Horton) Pepin, she was the wife of Joel J. Lamoureux.
An Attleboro resident since 1955, originally from Swansea, Mrs. Lamoureux worked as an engineering aide for more than thirty years at Texas Instruments, prior to retiring twenty years ago. She had also served as a secretary for the Stevens Corner Cemetery Association for many years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lamourex is survived by a son, Steven J. Whitis of South Attleboro; two daughters, Barbara A. Cavaco and Shirley M. Heyen, both of Pahrump, Nevada. She also leaves five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert E Whitis, and the sister of the late Francis E. Pepin, Jr., and the late Robert I. Pepin.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 10:00AM in the COOK - HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park Street, Attleboro, MA, with burial to follow in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00–7:00PM in the funeral home.
