FALL RIVER – Mary (Weber) Nadien, 90, of Fall River, died Friday, August 7, 2009, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in North Reading, MA, the daughter of the late Morris and Ida (Levine) Weber, she was the wife of the late David W. Naiden. A graduate of the former Burdette College in Boston, she devoted her life to raising her family. Mrs. Nadien also volunteered in the soup kitchen at the former Church of the Ascension (now the Church of the Holy Spirit) for more than twenty years. She enjoyed gardening, growing tomato plants and African violets, sewing, cooking and was known to make a fantastic stuffed cabbage. Mrs. Nadien leaves two daughters, Celeste Nadien and Amy S. Nadien, both of Fall River; she was the sister of the late Fay Slavin. Funeral InformationHer funeral service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2009, at 2:00PM in Temple Beth El, 385 High St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Temple Beth El Cemetery. A private memorial observance will be held at the convenience of the family.
